No-Brand hand phone and The terrorists

Recently there is one Pakistani handphone user reported handphone loss case to PTA (Pakistan Telephone Authority). So PTA would lock up his handphone IMEI * number 135790246811220 such this that Hand phone could not be utilized anymore. However, at the same time, there were over thousands handphone users reported to PTA that their handphone were unable to be used!

The reason was that those thousand hand phone were manufacturered in certain small factory of China No-Brand Hand phone maker that did not entitled to have the authorization to use the phone network through the mobile providers. They just could use same IMEI number single IMEI number 135790246811220 for the thousands phone. Finally PTA had no way, but to unlock this IMEI number, all thousands phone could be used including the thief!

If you want to read you IMEI number, energized the code review access “#*06#”, it will be displayed on your phone.

Usually this IMEI code can be used a to track the position of certain people including terrorists I Pakistan. But because of this issue other 1,000 people would be tracked too!

A few years back Russia was able to kill one of the terrorist in Chechen being tracking on his phone number IMEI, when he talked with his hand phone, one precision missile was triggered to explode 20 meters on top on his head and killed the target person.

So in this sense, will you still take the risk to use this type of handphone from some unauthorized so called Copy Cat phone manufacturer or White brand phone maker?

Since 2006, a Taiwanese phone chip maker invented a single MTK chip. Then it is very easy to make a phone design with the chip that usually took a few years to develop!
A lot of White Brand Phone business has been growing like Spring Asparagus!
I recommend you buy from big renown shop for genuine hand phone for your SAFETY!
PS

IMEIThe International Mobile Equipment Identity or IMEI is a number unique to every GSM and UMTS and iDEN mobile phone as well as some satellite phones. It is usually found printed on the phone underneath the battery.
The IMEI number is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone is stolen, the owner can call his or her network provider and instruct them to "ban" the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, whether or not the phone's SIM is changed
