Birthday Dinner 4 Oct 2008

This was my pleasure to have all these good friends coming over for a dinner a Beppu Tsuen Wan 4 Oct. A lot of effort to make such a celebration came true. Special thanks to Terry and John to extend one day in Hong Kong. Wish you had a pleasant trip to USA.

These are the guests: John, Bill, Li, Terry, Matthias, Hoey Wan, Man Yip, Alex Li, Max Wong, CY Ng, Sue Anne, Admad, Edward Tsang, Ringo, KM Chan, Ki Ki, Rerai and her friend...

Most of all thanks for their times to share the wine with us... bring a lot of wines, presents and gift...

And some of friends who could not attend. I would like to say thanks to them too! Samuel Tam, Simon Chan, Johnny Yeow, Peter Andrews, Elbert Brown, David Corbett, Leonardo, Chang Sohn, Meng Ee, Loo Wei Liam, Edmund Kong, Benedict Yuen, Chris Liu, Jim Coffin, Keizo Yip, Lokie, Grace, Edmond Koo...

Special Thanks to Edmond Koo who had an earlier celebration at house of Jasmine on 2 Oct... Thanks for the sepecial "Sou Boa".

I have been questioned why Japanese food, well, to certain extent I have been considering a lot of factors such as timing, wine combination, location. and expenditure. Well, as fo the wine is concern, a French or Chinese food may be better to go for the Red wines. And I think a bottle of White wine should go better with the food we had. These are the flaws.

As for the Latour 1957, I have been spending years to look for that as 1957 is not a good year probbaly a moderate to average year for Latour, but definitely not a bad year or it won't last for 51 years, and the palate has been gone over the top, probably we should consume it 10 years ago for best result. And of course not the very good year, 1959 is a good year with RP100.
Someone asked me where to have the next celebration... well, there is a long way to go. and I am thinking that we want to ultilize an excuse to meet all good friends of mine, and actually I had such celebration three times with other good friends... on 1 Oct and 2 Oct...

Wish you all had a very good time in works, hiking, dinning and family gathering.
Special thanks to those who may have decided to leave this Little place Hong Kong for your next carreer developments, the world is small and we could meet some where in other part of the world, Germany, USA, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and or China...
